The pumps are available in 6 different materials(Plastic, Aluminum,Stainless steel304&316, PVDF, Cast iron, Teflon) for the pump body and 5 different materials (Teflon,Santoprene, Hytrel, Viton, Buna-N) for the diaphragms. This makes it possible to select the best solution for your application.

When it comes to pumping chemicals, pump materials matter.

Materials widely used in pumps for chemical transfer include polypropylene (fitted with PTFE or Santoprene diaphragms). Santoprene is very popular because of its excellent chemical resistance, flex life, abrasion resistance and low cost.

Stainless steel units are a great choice because they work well in outside conditions and can handle direct sunlight better than plastic pumps (plastic can be affected by UV radiation). Stainless steel also deals with extreme cold and hot temperatures better than plastic units.

Diaphragm Material and advantages:

• Viton: excellent corrosion resistance, resistance to various acids, alkali, salt, petroleum products, hydrocarbons.
• PTFE(Teflon):excellent corrosion resistance,almost resistant to all chemical media(including concentrate nitric acid and aqua regia). Except melting of lithium,potassium,sodium,chlorine trifluoride,high-temperature oxygen trifluoride,sulfur-speed liquid fluorine.
• Santoprene:good abrasion resistance, chemical resistance and heat resistance, suitable for general acid and alkali, not suitable solvent. Can replace the EPDM material.
• Hytrel:good abrasion resistance, used in most of the neutral fluid. Can replace Bune-N material.
• Buna-N:widely used in gasoline and other oil products.Suitable for use at room temperature.
